The Lager we produce at Brewtopia (4.7% abv) is an award winning lager (National Festival of Beers 2002) developed by one of Australasia's top brewers, Brian Watson.

This traditional European Style lager has stayed loyal to its heritage and roots.  With subtle saaz hop characteristics and earthy fruity aromas, this pale cold filtered lager has a wonderfully smooth crisp finish that is beautifully balanced for an exceptional drinking experience.

We also produce a Light Beer variation of this lager (2.9%) and we do seasonal beers including Pale Ale's and Pilsners

The Brewery
Located at Smeaton Grange, NSW, the brewery combines leading edge brewing technology with equally impressive brewing technology.  It is an Australasian industry leader in terms of technological advancement, brewing efficiencies & environmentally friendly operating practices.

One of the biggest challenges facing all breweries, are those of quality control & product consistency, so we make sure we don't let it anywhere near the VB.

The Brewing Team have set in place expert quality control parameters that guarantee you both brewing purity & consistency throughout the entire production process. We receive consistent confidential Brewing Reports on all our products ensuring the desired excellence in product quality.

Brian WatsonThe Brewer
Brian Watson is the Brewmaster who looks after all our beer production. He cut his teeth at the prestigious Institute of Brewing in the UK and has been involved in establishing breweries and brewing throughout Europe, Asia, Africa and the Americas.

Brian has achieved great success in the global brewing industry since his days with DB Breweries in New Zealand. In Dublin, Brian established Ireland's first craft brewery producing a high quality Pilsner lager for the Irish, UK and US markets.

As a brewing consultant, working with DME Brewing Services, Brian has been involved in various brewery installations around the world including:

Waimea Brewery (Hawaii) Emerald Brewery (Ireland) Little Creatures & Mildura Brewery (Aust)

His creations have been awarded with some of the highest accolades in the brewing industry, having won gold medals in near all beer categories and even after all these years and beers, he has retained his in-depth knowledge of the brewing industry and techniques and earned the respect of his peers.

Tasting Notes: BREWTOPIA LAGER
This traditional European Style lager has stayed loyal to its heritage and roots. With subtle saaz hop characteristics and earthy fruity aromas, this pale cold filtered lager has a wonderfully smooth crisp finish that is beautifully balanced for an exceptional drinking experience.

We guarantee it will titillate even the pickiest of palates.

Appearance: Pale, Straw color, finely beaded bubbles and well formed head

Nose: Appetizing malt aroma with a hint of spicy hops (Saaz)

Palate: Clean and malty with relatively low bitterness (20 IBU)

Overall: An easy drinking Lager, with all the goodness of organic ingredients

ABV: 4.7%

VOL: 330ml x 24 bottles

It has no artificial additives or preservatives.

Tasting Notes: BREWTOPIA PILSNER
This is a bloody marvelous drop this traditional German Style Pilsner brewed under the Germany Purity Law of 1516. With deep hop characteristics has been crafted over centuries for a balanced exceptional drinking experience.

Appearance: Golden color with well structured head

Nose: Intense earthy spicy quality of Saaz hops

Palate: Lightly cleansing on the palate, with the appetising dryness that helps define the Pilsener style. Medium Bitterness (24 IBU)

Overall: A classic German pilsner!

ABV: 4.9%

Tasting Notes: BREWTOPIA PALE ALE
This is a seasonal beer available when pales are in season!

Appearance: Brilliant deep golden with cream head

Nose: Sweet malt and subtle caramel

Palate: The flavor has a good caramel backbone that balances out the hops and the lingering bitterness. (30 IBU)

Overall: A very drinkable beer with some decent level of bitterness that doesn't overwhelm the palette

ABV: 4.7%

Tasting Notes: BREWTOPIA LIGHT LAGER
The Light Lager we produce at Brewtopia is purely a lighter version of our Award winning lager
